As a veterinary surgeon and doctoral student in epidemiology, I'm very interested in issues at the interface between humans and their environment. New diseases coming from wildlife, such as avian flu; farm animal health and food safety; human-animal conflicts and species conservation... All these issues are becoming increasingly important under the influence of global change. I want to help prevent them and find sustainable solutions. That's why I specialize in the following approaches Une one health and Ecohealthwhich recognize the interconnection between human, animal and environmental health. For my PhD, I'm using these approaches to address health issues at the human-dog interface in Quebec's northern communities. I'm also passionate about science communication, and always enthusiastic about disseminating knowledge via podcast, video... or with InitiaSciences!
